Where on Earth is Walney?

A map of the south west corner of Cumbria, which is the most north-westerly county in England. Walney Island is the strip of land in the south west corner of the map.

In case you were wondering, there is a bridge which connects Walney to the rest of England, Scotland and Wales (and now, of course, with the channel tunnel, it connects us to the rest of Europe as well).
